This event will provide agricultural based leadership and entrepreneurial education for communities in central and southwestern Nebraska as well as communities in neighboring states of Colorado and Kansas. The goal is to unite attendees around their agricultural roots and exchange ideas, generate enterprise, and cultivate multi-generational learning. Leadership, Inspiration and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Celebrating Agriculture will feature five speakers throughout the day focusing on agricultural leadership and entrepreneurship. Two keynotes speakers will kick-off the event with two local speakers and a local college instructor supplementing the conference lineup. Keynote Marji Guyler-Alaniz, is the nationally recognized creator of FarmHer. Founded in 2013. FarmHer focuses on the inclusion of women in ag as demonstrated in her image of farm and ranch life through the use of photography and stories on social media. Since its origin, the business has grown in popularity. Guyler-Alaniz has come to realize women in agriculture appreciate her representation of them in the world of modern agriculture. Today, her gallery of images are changing the way people perceive farming across the United States, connecting women and shining light on women in agriculture through an online community. The second keynote speaker(s) are The Peterson Farm Brothers, a family comprised of three brothers and an honorary "bro" (their little sister) who promote agriculture through parodies and public speaking events. The Peterson Farm Brothers grew up and continue to work on their family farm near Assaria, Kansas. Through YouTube videos, speaking events, social media, and a blog, The Peterson Farm Brothers focus on bringing awareness to the value of agriculture in an entertaining and educational manner that appeals to a multi-generational audience.
