Inventor for Manufacturing. Learn introductory mechanical design concepts using Inventor, Autodesk's 3D CAD design software. Inventor is a tool mechanical engineer's use to design ideas, visualize concepts, and simulate how designs will perform in the real world. Focus on 3D mechanical design tools: sketching techniques, part creation, building an assembly from the parts and finally translating it all into a dimensioned, scaled drawing. Students have access to free 3-year license of Inventor. Computers are available with software in class or students can download software on their own computers. Please check the minimum computer requirements @ https://knowledge.autodesk.com/ support/inventorproducts/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/ System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Inventor-2016-products.html.
